Black & White Week, Day 3

After going through my closet last night, I decided to wear black leggings today. I have numerous tops that would work with them, but I picked this cute tribal print tunic since it also has black & white in the colors. I got it at Dollar General for only $10, and it's one of my most flattering and comfortable tops. Since I'm so short and it's long, I've also worn this shirt as a dress. Or maybe it was meant to be a dress in the first place.

For my jewelry, I had the perfect earrings and necklace set to match the pattern on the shirt. I think I got these from a vendor at the Rivers & Spires Festival when I lived in Clarksville.

I've had these sandals for over 10 years and they are super cute. I got them originally for a vacation we took to Jamaica. I have hardly worn them, and they looked amazing with this outfit!!! However, after I left the house and was walking around in them for a while, I realized why I never wore them. The thongs rubbed the top of my feet, and the left shoe caused a hotspot on the bottom heel. OUCH! After some grocery shopping at the commissary, I took my shoes off when I got outside. The hot pavement wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as these sandals. Needless to say, I won't be wearing them again. I'll add them to my donation box and hopefully someone else will be able to wear them comfortably.

Today's shoe failure has given me even more purpose for doing these challenges. Not only will I be able to revive my old clothes, but I'll also be able to figure out what I just won't wear anymore. I'll donate any unloved or ill fitting items, and hopefully they'll find their way to someone who will get better use out of them.
